Foothills Dental Hygienists’ Society Scholarship
For Lanier Technical College Dental Hygiene Students

The Foothills Dental Hygienists’ Society would like to award scholarships to dental hygiene students enrolled at Lanier Technical College. The awards are to be $200 for the 1st year student and $350 for the 2nd year student.

To be eligible for this award, you must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and be a SADHA member. Agree to participate for one year following the receipt of this scholarship in your local component of GDHA and ADHA. This scholarship is not based on religion, sex, race or creed.

The following must be submitted no later March 1, 2012:

1. An essay stating why you want to be a hygienist, community involvement and what your plans are after graduation concerning your professional goals and involvement in the Georgia Dental Hygienists’s Association and your local component.
2. A letter or recommendation from an instructor.

CSRA Scholarship

Central Savannah River Association will award two senior class members scholarships in the amount of $300 ($300 each).
Scholarship Guidelines

The applicant must:

• Currently be enrolled and planning to graduate from the dental hygiene undergraduate program at Georgia Health Science University during the regular schedule 2012 commencements ceremony.
• Have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above with all dental hygiene course work at GHSU.
• Be a current active member of Georgia American Dental Hygienists’ Association Student.

Application Deadline: No later than the last day of dental hygiene finals of the fall semester.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDENT DENTAL HYGIENE AWARD

The scholarship applicant must:

• Be a resident of Georgia
• Be attending an accredited Dental Hygiene School in Georgia
• Have completed at least one quarter or semester of study in the dental hygiene curriculum
• Have and maintain a 3.0 (B) average
• Intend to practice in Georgia for two years following graduation
• Truly be in financial need
