The Dental Hygiene Oath

In my practice as a dental hygienist, I affirm my personal and professional commitment
To improve the oral health of the public, to advance the art and science of Dental Hygiene,
And to promote high standards of quality care.

I pledge continually to improve my professional knowledge and skills, to render a full measure of service
To each patient entrusted to my care, and to uphold the highest standards of professional competence
And personal conduct in the interests of the Dental Hygiene profession and the public it serves.

 

Get Involved

Long Range Planning Committee - Chair: Available
This committee is responsible for creating the long range goals and operational objectives for the Association.

Specific duties include:

  • Aiding in ascertaining the needs of the dental hygiene profession in Georgia.
  • Being knowledgeable of the long range plans for health care delivery and changes as proposed by both Federal and State Government Agencies and so inform the Executive Council.
  • Studying Association composition, activities, committee structure, governing mechanisms, and Bylaws and submit recommendations for consideration by the Executive Council.
  • Encouraging formation of new components in areas large enough to meet requirements.
