General Nature of Duties: Under limited supervision, coordinates a district-wide Health Promotion program. Develops, implements, and evaluates community, school, and/or occupational health projects and initiatives. Manages program/project budgets, grants and contracts. Communicates effectively with community partners, other government agencies, contractors, and customers. May represent the program in public speaking engagements. Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and prepares reports. Researches and prepares grant applications. Assists Epidemiology unit in surveillance and investigation of notifiable conditions. Performs other related responsibilities as required.

Minimum Training and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in health education, sociology, psychology, social work, or a closely related field, and two (2) years of experience in health education or a closely related area.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in program development and management. Experience in Public Health. Experience working in a behavioral modifications program. Experience in coalition building and/or health advocacy. Two years of experience working with an experienced epidemiologist in analyzing epidemiologic data, assisting in public health surveillance and studies, and writing reports.
