Mercy Clinic is a free clinic which was established several years ago to provide medical and dental care to the indigent and uninsured in the Athens Area. Dr. Stanley Satterfield is the “force” behind the clinic, and in addition has been very generous to our component by allowing us to use his office for our meetings at no charge. Our current component Treasurer, Leah Brannon, is the dental coordinator for the clinic which can see patients for dental hygiene care from volunteer dentists.

The Northeastern District Dental Hygienists’ Society wanted to express our support and gratefulness to him for all of his work, so the component voted to give a small gift of $100 for the clinic, we hope to make it annual gift.
