Announcing the 1st CareerFlow Retreat
Innovative Program to Enhance the Careers of Dental
Hygienists

2006 SAN RAMON, Calif -- Announcing the first and only opportunity
for dental hygienists interested in expanding their career in a new
direction, Educational Designs and Dental Connection have partnered to
create a groundbreaking program to educate and coach dental hygienists
in public speaking, professional writing, sales & consulting. Designed
to provide dental hygienists with hands-on instruction, as well as
interactive career mentoring, the CareerFlow Retreat is intended to help
jump-start dental hygiene career transitions.
CareerFlow Directors, Kristy Menage Bernie RDH, BS, RYT, and Beth
Thompson RDH, BS, long time industry consultants and international
speakers, are customizing the symposium content to reflect the
background and interests of those accepted into the program. “The
CareerFlow Retreat has been created to meet the void that exists in our
profession for those dental hygienists who are interested in a career
that is not clinically based,” says Menage Bernie. “Our goal is to help
attendees tap into their natural talents and to provide an opportunity
to secure opportunities outside of clinical practice.”
The retreat will be held
January 6 – 10, 2007,
in Daytona Beach,
FL
at the Shores Resort and Spa and will include educational sessions on
presentation, writing, sales and consulting skills, yoga sessions,
consultation with expert faculty to establish individual business plans
and the opportunity to network with media and corporate partners. In
addition, Oraspa certification will be offered prior to the CareerFlow
retreat on the 6th.
Enrollment is limited to those with a real desire and passion to enhance
and expand their career options. “We are looking for dental hygienists
who are serious about advancing their dental hygiene careers in the
areas of professional speaking, writing, sales and consulting,” adds
Thompson. “We plan to mentor dental hygienists in the skills necessary
to create messages that impact and influence their audience, but also to
introduce them to career opportunities in sales and consulting within
our profession.”
